2009’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place on October 14th and 15th at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa under the banner theme of 100 Years of Canadian Aerospace Excellence. The event gathered more than 350 attendees from all segments of our industry and other leading aerospace nations, various levels of government, the financial and investment community, as well as the national and trade press. Distinguished speakers from Europe, the US and Canada gave their views on Positioning for Recovery recognizing as well that this is a time of economic uncertainty. They contributed food for thought on the necessity for industry to define its role in the next century in order to remain a renowned world leader and for all to reflect on the visionary decisions that are required today to secure the next century’s remarkable accomplishments. The AGM also featured a symposium aimed at supporting and furthering our industry priorities as well as networking activities.
