The IMP Aerospace Core Group, has been recognized as one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies over the past six years. The Aerospace Core Group specializes in a diversified range of aerospace products and services. Four ISO 9001 registered facilities service both military and commercial aviation sectors.
Aerospace Division: As a fully certified AMO (Aircraft Maintenance Organization and ATO (Aircraft Technical Organization), the Aerospace Division provides depot level engineering and maintenance support to the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND), Royal Norwegian Air Force, NOAA, US Forest Service, AeroUnion and the US Navy on the following military aircraft platforms;
- Sikorsky CH-124 (H-3/S-61) Sea King
- Lockheed Martin CP-140 (P-3) Aurora (Orion)
- AgustaWestland CH-149 (EH101) Cormorant
IMP is the designated In-Service Support (ISS) contractor for Canada’s fleet of AgustaWestland EH101 “Cormorant” Search and Rescue helicopters. ISS prime contractor responsibilities include a full range of fl eet management services including maintenance, engineering, logistics, and training.
The Aerospace Division is a Lockheed Martin Authorized P-3 Service Center and is approved by Transport Canada as a Design Approval Organization (DAO). Other technical support services include;

Avionics Division: The Avionics Division is AS9100 registered with over 30 years of experience in the design, manufacture and repair of complex wire harnesses and electrical assemblies for the DND, US Army and US Navy, as well as a wide variety of OEMs servicing the aircraft, space, and armoured vehicle sectors. The facility also performs repair and overhaul for Airborne Communication, Radar, Flight Control Systems, Navy Sonar equipment and holds worldwide licenses for fl ight control systems on the Sikorsky H-3, S-61 and S-76 helicopters and an avionics repair/manufacturing license for MH-60/ UH-60 components.
Components Division: The Components Division is a manufacturer and integrator of sheet metal and composite aircraft structures and is AS9100 and ISO 9001 registered with NADCAP approvals. The division is recognized as a leader in the implementation of full 6-Sigma based Continuous Improvement Lean Manufacturing processes and maintains a preferred supplier status for components and structures to most major airframe OEMs.
Machining Division: This AS9100 registered facility offers a complete range of CNC machining capabilities (up to 5-axis) as well as turning, jig boring, and surface grinding. CATIA and UNIGRAPHICS design data are fully supported in an integrated CAD/ CAM environment.
