Sermatech Power Solutions LP was founded in 1982 to provide coating services to the Canadian aerospace industry. The company is a subsidiary of Praxair Surface Technologies based in the United States. Sermatech Power Solutions LP, has more than 25 years of expertise in developing and applying engineered protective coatings for the Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Chemical Processing, General Industrial, and Industrial Gas Turbine industries.
Sermatech Power Solutions LP is a leading provider of comprehensive coating services for turbine engine components and other critical aerospace and industrial parts. The line of SermeTel coatings for gas turbine compressors protect components against corrosion, fouling, and also enhance engine efficiency.
We have developed new generation metallic ceramic coatings that are applied on landing gear and are effectively replacing cadmium plating. In addition, we now have chrome free coatings which are environmentally friendly and specialised coatings for magnesium and light metal components.
Sermatech Power Solutions LP also offers a broad range of protective coatings for gas turbine hot section components. Our unique diffused aluminide coatings protect nickel and cobalt alloys from both high and low temperature hot corrosion/sulfidation, oxidation, and particulate erosion.
Our customers include Pratt & Whitney Canada, GE Aviation, Rolls-Royce Canada, Siemens Power Generation, Vector Aerospace, Unison Engine Components, Messier- Dowty and many others.
The facility in Dorval has a full range of thermal spray equipment to apply various coatings including HVOF (high velocity oxy fuel), Plasma Spray, Flame Spray, and Wire Arc. These coatings offer wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and high temperature protection.
Our coatings will protect your machinery against the ravages of corrosion, erosion and wear. They provide barrier or sacrificial protection for a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and they shield valuable components against extreme environmental conditions.
The company holds approvals from all the major OEMs and our facility is certified to ISO9001:2000, AS9100 and NADCAP.
