Avcorp designs and builds major airframe structures for some of the world’s leading aircraft companies, including Boeing, Bombardier, and Cessna.
With more than 50 years of experience, 485 skilled employees and 354,000 square feet of facilities, Avcorp offers integrated composite and metallic structures to aircraft manufacturers, a distinct advantage for new aircraft designs, which require lower-cost, light weight, strong, reliable structures.
Avcorp’s business has expanded into diversified market segments with contracts for the new HondaJet, the Lockheed Martin F-35 and the Boeing CH-47 Heavy-Lift Helicopter. Avcorp continues to grow in the business jet market with the new Cessna Citation CJ4.
Avcorp researches and develops new processes and new technologies. A resin infusion technology (VARTM) called Smart Flow and Smart Cure is a new technology that has been certified on the Airbus A380. Avcorp has developed and implemented a pulse-line assembly system, utilizing a visual production system that pulses (moves) at a determined rate, to significantly reduce assembly labour hours.
