Business areas:
Simulation and Training - provides leading edge simulation and software solutions for training air traffic controllers, pilots and airport vehicle operators. Technologies include speech recognition, voice communication, artificial intelligence, visual modeling and displays, and systems integration. Responsibilities include management of the Adacel customer support center.
Air Traffic Management - develops operational systems that implement the Communications, Navigation, Surveillance / Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) concept. Adacel’s Aurora ATM software is the enabling technology used to facilitate user preferred routes, dynamic airborne rerouting, 4D trajectory management, and reduced separation initiatives aimed at curbing aviation greenhouse gas emissions.
Advanced Programs - produces innovative technologies with integration capabilities for existing platforms and new programs. Responsibilities include the direct voice input (DVI) voice activated cockpit system (including F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and Aermacchi M-346 aircraft and Apache helicopter systems), speech recognition applications and infrastructure security simulation training.
Products and Services:
Adacel’s products include the Aurora ATM system, MaxSim ATC tower and radar simulation systems, airport driver training simulators, direct voice input (DVI) control systems, ATCiB speech interactive ATC environment simulation for flight simulator training, VAST security training simulations, and the Intelligent Communications Environment (ICE) speech interactive aviation English phraseology and procedures learning applications.
Customers:
Adacel’s customer base includes major companies, air navigation service providers, education and training institutions and military agencies. Among these are Airbus, Boeing, CAE, Lockheed Martin, L-3 Communications, NASA, Raytheon, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Airservices Australia, Airways New Zealand, Austro Control, Canada’s DND, Czech Republic ANS, Emirates Aviation College (UAE), ENAV (Italy), Hong Kong CAD, Hungaro Control, Infraero (Brazil), NavCanada, Nav Portugal, Sandia Laboratories, many US Colleges, and the US Air Force, Army, Navy & Marines.
